Q: What are the entry procedures for the job fair?
A: Every customer attending the job fair will check in first with the receptionist and receive a job fair packet with a registration form (if you pre-registered, you will receive a packet with your name on it and no registration form). You will be directed to fill out the registration form and turn it in at the registration table. The staff at the registration table will look you up on www.pacareerlink.pa.gov and help you with resetting your password, if necessary, or help you register with PA CareerLink®. As part of the PA CareerLink® office procedures, you will need to complete the DIGITAL INTAKE FORM. If you have never completed the questionnaire, it will take you 5-8 minutes to complete; if you have done the questionnaire in the past, the process takes less than a minute. Once this step is completed, you will be directed into the job fair to meet with the employers and training providers.
Q: Do I need to be registered with PA CareerLink® to attend?
A: You will not need to be registered prior to attending. However, our entry procedures for the facility include completing the DIGITAL INTAKE FORM, which requires you to be registered with PA CareerLink®. We encourage you to complete your registration at www.pacareerlink.pa.gov prior to coming to the event, but we will have computers and Program Aides available to help you complete your registration that day.
Q: Can I print out copies of my resume at the PA CareerLink®?
A: Yes! We have computers and resume paper available for you to print out copies of your resume for the job fair. Let the receptionist know when you arrive that you need to print resume copies.
Q: What should I do if I don't have a resume?
A: We encourage you to create your PA CareerLink® resume on your www.pacareerlink.pa.gov account. In addition, we have the Resume Writing Workshop every other Thursday in our office to help you craft your resume. After the workshop, if you need 1:1 assistance, you can schedule an appointment to work individually with a Career Advisor or Employment Training Specialist.

What can I expect at the Job Fair?
Employers are hiring NOW, and they are anxious to speak with you! Expect to be interviewed for open positions. Have copies of your resume available to give to employers, and be prepared to fill out job applications on-site. Dress professionally, and remember to SMILE!
